Scholar Newsletter: January 2026
Dear Scholars,
Welcome to 2026 — and a brand new semester! I hope the winter break gave you space to rest, reflect, and reset.
This is a crucial time to get organized and take care of the essentials for the upcoming semester. Below, you’ll find a checklist of important action items. Please make time to complete them as soon as possible.
January also marks National Mentoring Month. If you haven’t already, take a moment to reach out and thank your mentor for the support, wisdom, and care they’ve offered along the way. A simple message can go a long way.
Lastly, we recognize Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 19 as a moment to reflect on justice, equality, service, and the many ways we can show up for our communities.
Prompt for this month:
What sort of mentor would you hope to become one day — and why?
Warmly,
Aiden
